This suggests the company maintains tight control over the development of almost all key technologies in the car.” This is in sharp contrast to the existing automotive supply chain, and it’s not at all clear how the traditional manufacturers can extricate themselves from their existing relationships — which means they’re a long, long way away from being able to be this innovative.
